About The Node Team

We're a young startup on a collective mission to democratize influencer marketing for businesses and content creators alike. Over the past 12 months we've developed and launched a marketplace/mobile-app that connects restaurants with food bloggers.

Since releasing our beta in August (2018) we've gained great traction, and were recently featured in the National Post, Toronto Star and CityNews.

Digital Marketing Specialist

We're seeking a talented Digital Marketing leader to develop content and manage our digital channels. The ideal candidate has the courage to offer new ideas, and enthusiasm to learn.

A positive attitude and creative problem-solving abilities are a must, as the candidate will tackle a multitude of projects in a fast-paced startup environment.

This is a 4-6 month paid internship which we intend on transitioning into a permanent position. The ideal candidate is a university/college student or recent grad who's passionate about startups and building impactful digital campaigns.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly/monthly demand-generation plans to deliver strong engagement across digital mediums.
  • Manage and grow our company Instagram page.
  • Produce content for social media pages, ads and our company blog.
  • Test and optimize new social media and web-marketing tools.
  • Manage incoming leads and new businesses that are qualified for our beta
  • Brainstorm, plan and write blog posts that are SEO optimized for clicks and engagement.
  • Help guide marketing decisions through A/B testing and analytics.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years experience in digital marketing and/or social media.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow an Instagram page based on prior experience.
  • Prior leadership role in a volunteer or professional setting.
  • A portfolio demonstrating an ability to produce content and engaging campaigns, with past projects. (including work examples).
  • An understanding of influencer marketing.

Bonus Points:

  • Passion for social media and restaurants. We're building a marketing platform for restaurants!
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Sales Coordinator

We're seeking a dynamic Sales Coordinator that's enthusiastic about influencer marketing and the restaurant industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing startup in a new industry. As well you will develop your sales and marketing acumen in an environment that rewards resourcefulness and creativity

As a member of our small team you will contribute to the daily business development projects alongside our marketing coordinator. You'll interact directly with prospective leads, and support the on-boarding of new business onto our platform. In order to thrive in this role, a passion for marketing and technology is an absolute must.

Bonus points if you have previous experience in influencer marketing and social media as an entrepreneur or with an agency.

Roles & Responsibilities

Client Facing

  • Develop relationships with businesses and community partners.
  • Conduct outbound sales-calls and regular follow ups with leads.
  • Educate and onboard new businesses, while offering exceptional customer-service
  • Manage incoming leads and coordinate demo viewing for contacts that would like to view our app.
  • Consult with clients to gather feedback and offer suggestions for their Node campaigns.


  • Contribute to demand-generation campaigns that drive leads through digital and traditional mediums.
  • Develop and optimize personalized email sequences through Hubspot.
  • Writing/editing/proofreading reports, sales decks, and other sales-related content.Contribute to executing and optimizing outbound marketing efforts.


  • Must be enrolled or recently graduated from a Canadian University or College, and able to commit 35 hours/week.
  • Excellent English language skills, including the ability to understand and interpret and communicate technical information.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, with a natural knack for people and building relationship.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Bonus Points

  • Passion for social media and restaurants. We're building a marketing platform for restaurants!
  • Knowledge or any background working with a CRM tool such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Infusionsoft, etc.
  • Experience working in social media, or other marketing and creative industries
  • Previous experience as an entrepreneur, or working in a startup.
